Overview
Branding a Design Jam.
Flui Design Jam is an annual Design Hackathon celebrating UI/UX, creativity, and community. As Design Lead, I guided the team in refining FLUI’s pixel-based identity into a more cohesive, scalable system inspired by LED interfaces and Arduino visuals.
Problem
How might we evolve FLUI’s tech-forward identity into a cohesive and impactful system?
FLUI already had a recognizable pixel-based style, but it lacked consistency across touchpoints. Visual elements felt fragmented, limiting the brand’s clarity and scalability.
Opportunity Areas
Refine the Visual Language.
Simplify and modernize pixel elements for clarity and polish.

Strengthen Consistency.
Align typography, color, and UI components across all materials.

Build a Scalable System.
Create reusable assets to support future growth and collaboration.

Process
Brand Audit
I reviewed past materials to identify inconsistencies and uncover opportunities to refine the pixel-based identity.
Reframing the Brand
We shifted from a “Hackathon” to a Design Jam—repositioning the event to better reflect creativity, accessibility, and collaboration.
Defining the Visual Direction
I introduced a refined pixel system paired with gradients and structured layouts, creating a more cohesive and scalable visual language.

Solution
A cohesive, scalable design system.
A unified design kit with refined pixel components, a flexible gradient system, modern UI elements, and consistent typography—built for clarity and scalability across platforms.
